Who Wants to Play Scrabble???
The other day I was playing Scrabble with my best friend Janice (pictured on the left), when I couldn’t help but wonder: “Who invented Scrabble, my favorite board game/learning tool?”. Once we finished our game I decided to go on my iPad and do a lil research. It turns out a guy by the name of Alfred Mosher Butts invented the game I love! Naturally, I got super jacked, drank a protein shake and challenged Janice to another game.
The plot gets a lil thicker too. Apparently Mr. Butts didn’t name the game Scrabble. Some dude named James Brunot did. And it seems as though he was into butts too. I had one of my interns find the origins of the world scrabble, and it turns out “scrabble” means “to grope frantically”. So Brunot really named the game “to grope frantically”.
Well, that’s all I got.
I hope you guys weren’t expecting some funny post that would make you lol.
I’m just trying to educate and maybe sell some Scrabble games/iPads on Amazon.
